from Germany

maybe this is at first and at last kiryn’s diary during a stayover in Germany. i attempt to write this diary in my poor english, i precedently apologize for my error.

now i stay in Heidelberg. it’s a beautiful city, i remember lightly Florence. old schloss like a ruin, old brick bridge on the river Necker, close alley and colorful condominiums… i don’t weary of taking a walk. many young students live in this city, so people looks gentle and intelligent.

every morning i have a wonderful breakfast in my hotel, especially i like a yogurt with blackplum compote. every morning i eat many compote and a bread with cheese and ham. but i must economize, so i make supper for myself in my hotelroom. but i enjoy shopping nearby supermarket. after all alcohol is cheep! it’s beyond my belief! UREICH, LEIMENER, VERTINS, HEIDERBERGER PILSNER etc.etc… one beer costs about 60 yen. of course wine is inexpensive, too. in Germany i become easygoing.

on last sunday i went to Calw where Hermann Hesse was born. but in the front of a small station Calw was only a sightseeing spot. i went up a hill and there had a lunch. birds were singing and small flowers were opening. i heard a chime of a church…only here i could remember Hesse.

in Hedelberg i find some antique bookstores. in this city there are around antique shops. this fact make me happy.
i hate shops for tourist along the main street. salespeople there is almost nasty-nice. but salespeople in shops for local is natural and normally kind. i like to visit some antique bookstores. of course i don’t know current german novels and can’t read german so well. but it’s happy time for me to stay in antique bookstores.

well, it’s just an interium report, i want to write more. but now i quit writing.
